Back in December of 2014 I had completed a 90 day mission to increase my energy, develop new rituals and new habits. It was during that process I lost pounds and inches. So excited that my final task was to donate suits that were four pants/dress sizes too big to Dress for Success. "The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life."
Well that sounded great but what I realized in early 2015 was that the 2 shakes a day lifestyle was not for me. It was a “quick win”, but I know I didn’t learn how to eat once I had dropped all that weight and cleaned out my wardrobe. It was yet another notch in my belt of my up and down relationship with food and weight loss.
Fast forward to winter of 2017 and I knew I needed to make changes (again). I found Rachel Maser (#cleanfoodcrush) on social media and looked into her 30 day clean eating challenge in January of 2018. In the fitness realm I had followed Natalie Jill Fitness, and admitted to a group there that I had gained weight from stress at work and knew I needed to make time for myself and my health. In winter of 2017 I hit my rock bottom (a lovely yearly appointment with the doctor) where we discussed test results and weight.....so that was the kick in the butt that I needed to be committed to Jump Start and Stronger by Natalie Jill and then lost inches and shed 10.6 pounds! I knew I wanted to continue my journey so then I signed up for Keri Glassman’s certification program (#nlcertifed) as well as Cornell’s Nutrition and Healthy Living Program (#ecornell). (Yes- both at the same time- it’s in my genes.)
My goal was to start my business as a Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach by Q3 2018. This past year I was dabbling with Instagram just because that is where people were headed. I had started my Facebook presence and then was working on my website. Earlier in 2018 I made the decision to attend my first Master Class. I attended a Nutritious Life Studio Master Class October 12-23, 2018 with like-minded colleagues and they all encouraged me to follow my passion and just get going! So then on Thanksgiving Eve, I published my website and began completing the tasks around my first group program (that will launch in January of 2019). I invite you to follow me on Facebook and Instagram and if you are a like-minded woman who wants support, join my Facebook community. I am excited to share my expertise, connect, and inspire others.
